Hi, I’m T.J. Marie
I’m glad you’re here.
Many people find themselves here after trying so many therapies without finding relief. I was that person, eight years ago.
After a rock-climbing accident in 2018, I was left in chronic pain which forced me to step back from my thriving yoga and acro-yoga career. I didn’t break any bones, but my body was deeply jolted, twisted, and slammed into Lava rock. I limped away fueled by adrenaline.
I tried so many modalities to try find relief. Chiropractors, physical therapy, Feldenkrais, e-stimulation, steroid medication, massage, acupuncture, and more. Over time, I became worn out, hopeless, financially drained, and distrustful of most bodyworkers.
Two to three years later, I was guided to a Structural Integration practitioner in Crestone, Colorado, also known as a Rolfer™. Within ten minutes, I knew I had found someone extraordinary and gifted. Calm, patient, fully present, her touch allowed my nervous system to feel attuned to and safe as joints decompressed with the perfect amount of pressure and vectoring. Instead of being pushed and prodded, my body was listened to and supported in reorganizing on its own timeline.
After 10–15 sessions, I stood taller than ever and released patterns I had carried long before the accident. The mild scoliosis from early on in life was barely noticeable as well. I felt present and comfortable in my body again.
Two years into my sessions, my practitioner encouraged me to train as a Structural Integration practitioner. She recognized my movement background, curiosity, and deep engagement with the work. After years away from formally teaching yoga and movement practices, I wanted to offer something that felt meaningful and tangible to the world. I went to learn from some of the best teachers across the Country.
With a background in yoga, acrobatics, teaching, alignment, mindfulness, and mobility, I bring a keen eye, intelligent and intuitive understanding of the body. I would be honored to share this work with you—work that truly saved my life.
Welcome to your healing journey.
I am a lifelong learner and traveler, with roots on a Midwest farm and a home base near the stunning Arapahoe National Forest in Colorado.
When I am not working with clients, I enjoy gardening, time in nature and water, hand-plucked music, dancing, caring for animals, deepening my interests, modalities and practicing primitive skills. Guided by my curiosity, quest of embodiment, presence, and a deep respect for natural systems, these values guide how I show up in both work and life.
